Attention : For all the foal games methods, you need to have the good requirements before starting or they won't work.
# Method N°1 : normal (with Salt Stone + Carrot)
# Method N°2 : winter games T>=5°
# Method N°3 : normal without Salt Stone
# Method N°4 : winter games slept in stall T<5°
# Method N°5 : bad conditions / with rabbit
# Method N°6 : normal wihout Carrot
# Method N°7 : normal for Shetland
# Method N°8 : normal for Shetland with Rabbit
# Method N°9 : winter games for Shetland T>=5°
# Method N°10 : SPECIAL CASES
Why are these methods so special ? Because they allow for foal's morale and energy - The other methods don't...
Update : october 2010
There have been changes for morale and energy for horses after bed, in meadow or in stall.
Don't copy these informations and paste them on your page or EC forum... Thanx -

8 MONTHS : Foal's first games day
RULES FOR THE FOAL GAMES :
1. Choose a good EC for the foal when he's 6 months old:
2. 6 months: make a good preparation , to raise morale and energy to the max.
For Shetlands (Method N°7), or for foal who have slept in stall (Method N°4), special preparation with diet.
3. When Temperature < 5°C, put the foal to bed in box for the night !
Or his morale will be to low (< 88%), even for winter games.
4. When Temperature is at least 5°C, you can put the foal to bed in meadow.
Next day, choose the appropriate method, according to energy and morale of the foal when he wakes up.
MORALE SINCE OCTOBER 2010 :
Foal's morale lowers when he's put to bed late !
During the Foal Games, the foal is put to bed at 22.00, and his morale is lower than before when he wakes up the next day.
8 months' old: first games
Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# Morale = 95% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 92% minimum when foal wakes up
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# pasture very clean : 100% cleanliness
# temperature at least 5°C (to put foal in meadow during night)
ATTENTION : If you don't have all that, the program will not work...
The foal is underfed on purpose at the beginning of the program, to avoid overweight, because he is overfed on the last game day, to finish the day with 20% energy !
If Temperature at least 5°C, put your foal to bed in meadow during the games !
BEWARE : For SHETLANDS use Method N°7 , otherwise the foal will have colics after the games, and lose health !
This method has been perfected by CraXoR on howrse
If you put your foal to bed in meadow when temperature is under 5°C, his morale next day might be too low, even to do winter games.
=> Put the foal in box for the night when Temperature < 5° - next day => Method N°4
# 8 months : 8h
# 10 months : 9h
# 1 year : 9h
# 1 year 2 months : 10h
# 1 year 4 months : 11h
# 1 year 6 months : 13h
-----------------------------------
Total : 60 h games
GP gain is : 0.02 for 1h
=> total GP gain with games = 1.2
Using Black Orchid, will allow to play more one day, if for example your horse is in an EC with no carrots, or meadows not 100% clean, but at the end of games, the GP gain will not exceed the limit of 1.2.
You need to use Winter games program only when your foal has slept in meadow, with Temperature between 5°C and 10°C, the night before (usually it's in winter, that's why we call it winter games) because his morale is under 95% in the morning.
If temperature is under 5°C, put your foal to bed in Box, otherwise his morale next day will be too low to do winter games. Then, next day, you can go on with the
"Slept in Box Method N°4"
Requirements: What you need before starting program :
# temperature over 5°C (to put foal in meadow during night)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# pasture very clean : 100% cleanliness
It's possible to play with the foal the same number of hours
with morale = 88% and above, when he wakes up in the morning, if you follow the program.
Of course, the foal always sleeps in the meadow!!
If morale is lower than 100% when you play with the foal, he spends more energy.
This table shows how morale next morning is affected by the temperature > > >
Foal has been put to bed at 22.00 !
This method is completely new !
It has been created and recently tested by CraXoR on howrse.
It is based on the foal's morale in the morning, when he wakes up, not on the temperature.
Whatever is temperature:
- energy
>= 92% + morale = 95% : Normal Games N°1.
- energy = 94% + morale = 93% to 95% => Night in Box N°4
- energy = 94% + morale de 88% to 94% => Winter Games N°2
- energy < 92% + morale < 88% => Foal won't play enough hours - use a Black Orchid before doing any action in the day, to raise energy and morale to 100%.

Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# Morale = 88% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
# carrots
# pasture very clean (100% cleanliness)
Before starting the games, choose a good E.C. to board the foal.
Check that the E.C. has carrots,
and that the cleanliness of the meadows is 100% >
On the foal page, you will have the qualification of :
uncluttered for the Pasture >
(Very important to get enough energy when you will put the foal in pasture)
# turnips
# temperature over 5°C (to put foal in meadow during night
Respect the amount of forage given with the feeding box,
it has been calculated with precision to give enough energy, and avoid over-weight (NO FEEDING at 1 year).
In WINTER, if temperature is below 5°C, you can't do games if you put your foal in Meadow for the night (he loses too much morale) => Put the foal in Box for the night !
Requirements : What you need in the morning:
# Morale = 93% (at least)
# Energy = 94% when foal wakes up
# Carrot
# Meadow very clean (100% cleanliness)
or method don't work
# Salt Block
# Turnip
Respect the amount of forage given with the feeding box,
it has been calculated with precision to give enough energy
ATTENTION : This method is special !
If foal has been put to bed at 22:00,
with at least enrgy 20%,
next day here is his condition:
energy = 94% + morale = 93%
If you want to do the entire program, it can only be used in WINTER, don't feed the foal when he is 6 months (only pasture)..
(The foal is overfed during the program, he can lose health before the end of games)
Can be used as a rescue method for one day, for other seasons (SPRING, AUTUMN, SUMMER).
If your foal is in bad condition, that is :
- Low morale (from 88% to 95%)
- Low energy (from 88% to 94%)
you can use this method, if the foal is boarding in an EC with a rabbit in his stall, because you will get an extra carrot
Requirements: What you need before starting program :
# any temperature
# energy at least 89% when foal wakes up
# morale at least 89% when foal wakes up
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# meadow very clean : 100% cleanliness
# rabbit in the stall
What about Temperature ?
If the temperature is at least 5°C during the day,
put your foal to bed in meadow for the night.
If the temperature is under 5°C during the day,
put your foal to bed in box for the night
Special low conditions
The method works when morale, is 87%, or 88%, but energy has to be higher than 90%, and you should feed
1 pound more from the feeding box.
ex. morale 87% + energy 90%
Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# pasture very clean (100% cleanliness)
Before starting the games, check that in the E.C. the cleanliness of the meadows is 100% >
On the foal page, you will have the qualification of :
uncluttered for the Pasture >
(Very important to get enough energy when you will put the foal in pasture)
# salt block
# turnips
# temperature at least 10°C (to put foal in meadow during night
# Morale = 95% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
Respect the amount of forage given with the feeding box,
it has been calculated with precision to give enough energy.
At one year and 6 months the foal ends with 16-17% energy, it's impossible to end the day with 20% energy, and make 13h playing. But next day, you can do a special care program to raise health and morale before starting training.
Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# Morale = 95% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 94% minimum when foal wakes up
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# pasture very clean : 100% cleanliness
# temperature at least 10°C (to put foal in meadow during night)
The foal is underfed on purpose at the beginning of the program, to avoid overweight, because he is overfed on the last game day, to finish the day with 20% energy !
Put your foal to bed in meadow during the games !
Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# Morale = 95% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 94% minimum when foal wakes up
# board with a rabbit (gives an extra carrot)
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# pasture very clean : 100% cleanliness
# temperature at least 10°C (to put foal in meadow during night)
Beware : Doesn't work if your pony doesn't have a rabbit in his stall ! => Pet in the box
Put your foal to bed in meadow during the games !
Requirements: What you need before starting program :
# temperature over 5°C (to put foal in meadow during night)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
# morale > 90% when foal wakes up
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# pasture : 100% cleanliness (impeccable)
Of course, the foal always sleeps in the meadow!!
what are special cases ?
When you haven't the requirements to use a Method, but you have something special that could replace one missing requirement.
