You have to take care of your horse and age him 2 times, to reach 2 years (24 months).
Take care of your horse: Drink, Salt Stone (if you got one) or Carrot, Groom - ride: trot, gallop, steep slope (to use around 20% energy) - feed (what is needed: hay, grain, mash) - ride (to use max energy, down to 0% or so) - Stroke, Carrot, Turnip. If you have time left (before 22.00) give an extra Carrot (if you have one), ride (to use energy, but you must not go under 20% energy left), put your foal in the box (to try to find a Salt Stone, or a blanket, or another gift).
Put your horse to bed: In the meadow (if Temperature at least 3°C) - In the box (if Temperature is below 3°C)
Age your horse. (You have aging points left)

What do you have to do ?
Before training, take care of your horse: Drink, Salt Stone (if you have one) or Carrot, Groom.
Select a skill, select a length, and Train to use around 15%-20% energy.

Enter the price: 1 pass and Confirm.

In QUEST No.26, your horse has reached the age of 2 years, and has been put to bed.
You have to take care of your horse and age him 6 times, to reach 3 years (36 months).

Take care of your horse: Drink, Salt Stone (if you got one) or Carrot, Groom - Ride or Train (to use 15%-20% energy) - Feed (what is needed: hay, grain, mash) - Ride or Train (to use max energy, down to 0% or so) - Stroke, Carrot, Turnip.
If you have time left (before 22.00) give an extra Carrot (if you have one), Ride or Train (to use energy left over 20%).
Put your horse in the box (to try to find a Salt Stone, or a blanket, or another gift) up to 22.00.
Not after 22.00 - Put your horse to bed: In the meadow (if Temperature at least 3°C) - In the box (if Temperature is below 3°C)
Age your horse. (You have aging points left)

What do you have to do ?
Go to the shop, in the tab Equipment, and buy a bridle, a saddle, and horseshoes.
 

Take care of your horse: Drink, Salt Stone (if you got one) or Carrot, Groom.
Register your horse in a competition:
Select a competition (Races, Cross-Country, Showjumping, Barrel Racing)
Select the race, Display the races

  

Select a race, and Participate.
